Meet Erin and Khairul..
Erin ni merupakan antara client yang paling awal book servis dari Salisma Photo. Sejak dari bulan Februari lagi Erin dah book kami untuk cover event beliau pada awal bulan Ogos yang lepas. Masa tu price servis kami masih lagi pada tahap ratusan. Bertuah bagi Erin kerana mendapat servis kami pada harga lama.. Kepada bakal2 pengantin yang lain, contohilah cara Erin ini..
Walaupun harga pakej Erin adalah rendah, servis yang kami berikan tak kurang sedikit pun dengan client2 kami yg latest.. Kami treat Erin sama penting dengan client2 yang lain.. Harapnya Erin berpuas hati dgn servis dari kami ye..

Mazlina & Zairul : Reception @ FRIM

Fuhhhhhhh.. Akhirnya boleh jugak update FP ni.. Dah berapa lama cuba nak update tapi tak boleh.. Ada masalah agaknya server FP ni.. Alhamdulillah hari ni boleh upload dah..
Entry kali ni adalah sambungan bagi entry sebelum ini. Lambat sikit saya upload sebabnya saya re-edit balik gambar2 diorang ni sebab ada masalah sikit pada editing asalnya.
Agak lama juga masa yang saya ambil untuk siapkan album Mazlina ni. Reasonnya, seminggu time saya telah didedikasikan kepada puteri saya yang baru lahir. Terkejar2 ke hospital untuk pelbagai urusan. Lepas tu anak saya kena Demam kuning pulak sampai dimasukkan balik ke wad untuk 3 hari.
Nasib baik Mazlina ni understanding dan sabar menunggu album beliau. Esok say akan ke Kuala Lumpur untuk self deliver custom album Mazlina ni, insyaAllah..

Oraittt.. Dalam2 happy menyambut orang baru ni, kerja masih perlu jalan jugak kan? 
Untuk entry kali ni, saya introducekan anda semua dengan pengantin baru kita yang bernama Mazlina dan Zairul. Kedua2 mempelai ni merupakan graduan UIAM dan dalam perancangan untuk further studies mereka kat UK. Super cool, Super nice, Super thoughtful client, Superb family and was a great honour to actually get to know Mazlina and her family.
Upacara pernikahan dan majlis berinai mereka ni dilangsukan di rumah mereka sendiri kat Kepong pada 27hb Julai 2007. Ramai sungguh orang yg hadir untuk majlis nikah diorg haritu sampai pack ruang tamu Mazlina mcm tin sardin. Saya pun langsung tak ada peluang untuk bergerak.. Stuck at 1 spot aja.. Nasib baik spot yg saya dapat tu cun. Kiranya selamat la gambar2 dia and saya pun actually agak puas hati dengan gambar2 time nikah tu inspite of the limitation. Overall, the event went great and smoothly. Will upload their reception photos in a few day's time. Dah siap standby dah.. Tapi saja je taknak upload lagi..

Salam semua..
Untuk entry kali ni kita jalan2 pergi ke Pahang pulak.. Client saya kali ni namanya Zul.. Kami dipilih untuk menjadi photographer bagi majlis bertandang ni selepas mereka berpuas hati dengan gambar2 yang saya shoot ketika majlis pertunangan mereka dulu.. Alhamdulillah..
Dah tu, dapat jugak le saya jalan2 jauh2.. Syiok woo..
Majlis ni simple aje actually.. Tapi suasana mmg happening jugak.. Makcik2 yang tolong2 tu boleh tahan jugak kecohnye.. Ahli keluarga pun sporting2 dan cool.. Hospitality pun teramatlah memuaskan.. Bertuah badan dapat client mcm diorg ni..
For this assignment, saya bawak seorang assistant yang first time shoot wedding.. Alhamdulillah shot2 dia not bad.. Ada harapan nih.. hehe.. Byk jugak gambar2 yang dia shoot aritu saya masukkan dalam entry ni..

Kali ni saya updatekan sikit gambar2 untuk majlis perkahwinan Fizal Abdul Jamel dengan Dr Nora Sakinah Mohd Noor.. Wedding ni amat special since konsep "Garden Wedding" digunakan sebagai theme nya.. Gardennye takdela sangat just that event ni dilangsungkan in open air.. Very nice and refreshing actually.. tak lupa jugak "Challenging".. hehe..

Dr Nora pulak.... Doktor laaa.. Dentist.. Cool and charming.. Nak lagi best, dua2 pengantin teramat la hepi2 go lucky2.. Gelak sana gelak sini..
Anyway, untuk set2 gambar ni, saya cuba portraykan ambience wedding tu.. Instead of ambil gambar closeup yang tak habis2, saya gunakan wide angle kesayangan saya supaya saya dapat menggambarkan keadaan sebenar majlis tu (ada la sikit.. tak byk mana pun.. ).. Saya gunakan pelbagai teknik untuk dapatkan ambience ni.. Antaranya slow shutter untuk dapatkan movement especially masa Nora baling bunga dia ala2 omputih tu.. apa nama ntah.. Baling bouquet kot? *joking.. And also saya continue gunakan slow shutter untuk dapatkan effect chaotic masa "gadis2" single tengah berebut buoquet tu.. Byk jugak saya gunakan slow shutter untuk dapatkan exposure yang sesuai untuk background dan foreground.. Mmg teramat mencabar la untuk mendapatkan ambience wedding ni.. Tapi alhamdulillah saya berjaya dapatkan apa yang saya mahukan.. Ni ada la sikit2 gambar saya upload.. Byk lagi dalam set dia.. ada 900+ rasanya.. Blasahhhh~

With the trend in wedding photography over the last few years moving away from
still posed portraiture to a more natural journalistic style of photography, it seems that all photographers are now photojournalists. But what does it really mean to be a photojournalist? You will find many types of answers to this question depending on who you ask, since there is so much confusion about this topic I wanted to provide some real information about what photojournalism is.
Here is the definition of photojournalism:
"journalism that presents a story primarily through the use of pictures".
The definition is very simply, but I think where people get caught up is in the simple word "story". A story is more than just candid photo's of an event, it is showing all aspects and angles of the event. For print Journalism to be good it has to be balanced, right? It should show all sides of a story and give you an in-depth look into a news event. Photojournalism is the same thing, the photographer should really try to capture images that show more than the surface of the event, they should show emotion, details and should all work together to tell the story of the day. When looking at the photo's you should be brought back to the day and all of the feelings should come rushing back to you. Unfortunately a lot of photographers that market themselves as photojournalists have been working for years as very traditional, formal portrait photographers. They are now trying to change the way they shoot by taking photo's of the people at a wedding not looking into the camera thinking that is candid thus it must be photojournalistic.
A true photojournalist not only has years of training as a photojournalist but also has
a natural instinct to be able to scan a scene and predict where and when things are going to happen.
A photojournalist will have a deep passion to be able to capture the essence of a day and capture all of the emotions
of the day that will bring you right back into the wedding.
One of the best photojournalists of all time was Henri Cartier-Bresson, who coined the term the "Decisive Moment".
Here is a quote of his that to me really shows everything a photojournalist must posses to be able to do his or her job well:
"To take photographs means to recognize - simultaneously and within a fraction of a second - both the fact itself and the rigorous organization of visually perceived forms that give it meaning. It is putting one's head, one's eye and one's heart on the same axis."
Cartier-Bresson recognized that a photographer must have a certain instinct to be able to predict the moment and act quickly. He also felt that it isn't just your eye taking the photograph but your head and your heart must all be working together to get the photo. If you are looking for a photojournalist to cover your wedding the most important thing to look at is their work. Check out their portfolio and see if the images tell a story of the day and really capture decisive moments. These photo's should show you the emotion and feeling of the day without ever being there. If the photo's are just a collection of candid photo's but you don't see the feeling and emotion of the day, then the photographer isn't really a photojournalist.

A wedding shot without flash..
Assalamualaikum semua..
Hehehe.. kali ni saya update wedding yang jatuh pada tarikh keramat yakni 7/7/7.. Saya suka sgt wedding ni sebab 90% of the shots saya ambil tanpa menggunakan flash.. Semuanya available light.. And NO!.. My flash are not broken.. NO! I am not not out of battery.. Its just that the bride gave me a green light to shoot however I wanted to.. Thank you Suria..
Gambar2 dalam entry ni saya belum edit lagi.. Saja je tak sabar nak upload..
Kualiti gambar ada sikit kureng sebab saya dah resizekan pada 680pixel guna windows punya resizer.. So, PUAN Suria jgn la risau ye.. Gambar asal ok.. Takde pecah2 mcm ni.. hehe..
